Application
Glyphosate is a systemic, broad-spectrum organophosphorus herbicide. It targets enolacetone-based shikikin phosphate synthetase in plants, blocking the conversion to essential amino acids like phenylalanine, tyrosine, and tryptophan, thereby interfering with protein synthesis and leading to plant demise. Effective against over 40 plant families including monocots, dicots, annuals, perennials, herbaceous plants, and shrubs. Particularly destructive to the underground tissues of deep-rooted perennial weeds. Widely used in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and industrial transport. Suitable for forests, rubber plantations, farmlands, tea mulberry, orchards, sugarcane fields, forest fire isolation belts, and non-agricultural weeding in areas like railways, airports, warehouses, oil depots, and power stations.
