Germ Destroyer---Composite Bactericide for CocoaCacao black pod rot is a devastating disease affecting cacao trees, caused by various species of Phytophthora. This disease can lead to pod rot, branch death, and stem ulcers. Effective control includes spraying chemical agents. For orchards where the disease has just begun, it is highly recommended to apply a mixture of 60% cuprous oxide and 12% metalaxyl at a 300-fold dilution. Spraying should be done weekly in humid weather and every 3-4 weeks during dry spells, continuing until the fruits mature.
