Glyphosate is an organophosphorus herbicide, renowned for its systemic conductive broad-spectrum properties. It primarily inhibits the enolacetone-based shikikin phosphate synthetase in plants, disrupting the shikikin conversion to essential amino acids such as phenylalanine, tyrosine, and tryptophan. This interference leads to protein synthesis disruption, resulting in plant death. It effectively controls over 40 plant families, including monocots, dicots, annuals, perennials, herbaceous plants, and shrubs. It is notably destructive to the underground tissues of perennial deep-rooted weeds. Glyphosate's extensive applications span agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, industrial transportation, and more. It is utilized in forests, rubber plantations, farmland, tea mulberry, orchards, sugarcane fields, fire isolation belts, and non-agricultural areas such as railways, airports, warehouses, oil depots, power stations, etc.
